SIA “Lameko Impex’s” subsidiary SIA “Smiltene Impex” is located in Smiltene region (130km from Riga). It performs a full timber production cycle from round timber to finished, planed products and has annual capacity of 80 000m3.

operates a Holtec (German) automated round timber evaluation, debarking, measuring, cross-cutting and sorting line, where sawn timber is debarked, electronically measuredand graded according to its quality and, after a metal detector check, it is automatically sorted according to quality, length and diameter on the small end.
consists of milling, squared timber sawing, marking, transporting, sorting and packaging mechanical equipment and is equipped with LINCK (German) sawing machines, which ensure processing of sawn timber with a diameter of 14 to 32 cm on the smaller end and high accuracy in terms of geometry and sawn timber sizes.
German automated wood drying kilns with a total capacity of 520m3 allow quality wood drying down to 8% humidity, which makes it suitable even for the furniture industry.
